Ollie W. Gildow, 82 of Canonsburg, PA, formerly of Beallsville died Wednesday April 9, 2008 in his home.
He was born December 23, 1925 in Lone Pine, PA a son of the late William D. and Mae Briggs Gildow.
Mr. Gildow was a 1944 graduate of Trinity High School and received an Associates Degree in accounting from Penn Commercial.
He worked as a Bookkeeper and Tire Mechanic for the McDaniel’s Tire Service in Beallsville and the Marsh Tire Service in Charleroi, PA, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Gildow loved Baseball, Square Dancing, Bowling and Country Music. He was especially fond of cats and dogs.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Scottdale, PA.
Surviving is his wife, Joan M. Gildow of Washington, PA; One Son – Ollie Gildow (Deborah) of Shrewsbury, PA; Three daughters – Debra Vayansky of Canonsburg,PA, Jody Dykins (Tom) of Daisytown, PA and Lori Gildow of Simi Valley, CA; One brother – Warren Gildow of Washington, PA; 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents is a son – Paul Edward Gildow who died May 5, 1977; One sister – Opal Hixenbaugh; One brother – Clyde Gildow.

Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 8pm in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where services will be held at 11:00am Saturday April 12, 2008 with Pastor Randy Landman officiating. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Washington County Humane Society, PO Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330
